Clap Tap Slap

Clap Tap Slap are action words which are part of the focus of this Tutu Tales lesson.  Students will practice listening skills in addition to movement skills while they distinguish between words that are action words and those that are not.  Some words, like "smile" or "grow" can be tricky!  Students must be on their toes to determine how to respond to each word in the dance game.

Recommended Resources:

  • “Clap Your Hands” by Lorinda Bryan Cauley
  • Music for the dance portion of the lesson. Consider using Square Dance music or a Reel.
  • Music for the Extra Activity if using. Use an instrumental Reel.
